It has so far helped me see a critical joint I was soldering, and
I can think of several other possible applications- including
adding an accent light to a photography setup. The base is very
cool, and the gooseneck is long enough to really maneuver around.
And it's only 20 bucks!
Actually, I've seen these for $15 in a couple of places, including
I bought a few tiny LED clip-ons to add accent light at shows, and
found that the light was totally the wrong color-- completely
useless for that purpose, so possibly also for photography. Too
bright for book lights...
