[Conference] [NY] Fold form conference

Charles Lewton-Brain will be heading a 4-day conference July 21-24,
2011 at the Center for Metal Arts in downstate New York. For folks
who would like to see the full sweep of fold forming possibilities,
on July 21-22 (Thursday and Friday), Charles Lewton-Brain will
demonstrate all 8 families of folds plus many variations. Bring your
own portfolio to share, and any tooling or studio supplies that you
would like to trade or sell. For folks who would like to work
hands-on, July 23-24 (Saturday and Sunday) are two days of working at
your own skill level under the guidance of Charles Lewton-Brain.
Students will each have fully-equipped individual work stations, in

Hi All,

I am giving a two day demonstration workshop on foldforming just
north of NYC on the 21, 22 of July. There are several places still
available in this ‘conference’ style workshop. We will cover all the
foldforming families in the two days. There will be a number of
skilled blacksmiths and other foldforming makers there, so it should
be interesting. As well, the blacksmithing samples in the museum of
the Center are absolutely fantastic, an encyclopaedic collection of
all the twists, shapes and forms possible in steel (and other
metals), a world class museum. anyway, I’d love to see you there.
