In 2002-2003 I, II and III International competition of young
jewelers =93Image and form=94 took place in St.Petersburg. More than 4=
00
works were presented by young jewelers from St.Petersburg, Moscow,
the Urals, Kalmykia, Karelia, Yakutia, Poland, Italy and Finland. The
very important part of the competition its cultural-educational
program which includes visits to places of interest of
Saint-Petersburg, lectures, seminars, round tables with the leading
Russian and European artists, art-critics and jewelry school
teachers participation. The support of the competition by the
leading museums of the city brings to the participants the
possibility to get detailed acquaintance with the special Reserves
of the Hermitage and Russian Museum of Ethnography, that keep
jewelry art exhibits of different epochs. Also the demonstration of
the jewelry collections of the famous artist-jewelers is planned.
Young jewelers under the age of 35 are invited (the works of the last
year are accepted) The deadline is the 1st September. 10th September
=96 the receiving of the works; 11th, 12th September =96 jury; 11th,
12th, 13th,14th September =96 the cultural program; 15th September =96
the final show, awards.
