Does anyone have an opinion/estimate/wild guess as to the relative
thickness of the layer of fine gold achieved via depletion gilding
18 karat yellow gold compared to the thickness of fine gold
deposited by electroplating?
I know there are many variables that are probably impossible to
factor into the estimate but might plating be twice as thick, ten
times as thick, half as thick??
