Community studio

This evening I just got another call from someone in Portland, OR,
who wants to open a community studio and teach some classes. Wow.
I just got back from Bozeman, MT, where the incubation has begun on
another space. These studio spaces are sprouting like mushrooms and
it is great to see others take the plunge. Somebody asked me the
other day, “aren’t you worried that all this competetion will take
away business from Metalwerx”? Personally, I couldn’t be happier.
All these people coming to the bench, talking to one another and
making the field of jewelry and metalarts a solid and vibrant place
to be. Besides, why should glass get all the glory!

Good luck to you Karen and Tim. Let us know how you are doing.

In service,

Hmmm what a great idea! I live in the Portland, Oregon area and have
some pretty good equipment that would be ideal for such a project,
And, I would enjoy being a part of such a project with a few
experienced professionals. I would also like to know about the
business details of other such studios and how they worked out, good
and bad.

Would anyone interested in a community studio in our area please
contact me off line?

Thanks!
Frif,
