I was thinking what does everyone do with a commission from a
consignment gallery? Should it be the same percentage as work already
in the gallery, or on a different scale?

In my experience the expectation on the gallery’s or sales venue’s
part will be the same – 50/50 – commission. I presume that
shipping and handling costs in this instance are the responsibility
of the party that initiated the transaction: the gallery. That’s the
way that I do it, but others have their own arrangements.
