Greetings, Orchidians. My compliments on a fascinating website; I’ve
learned much from following your exchanges over the past few months.
I’m studying to obtain my gemologist credentials from GIA and my next
course requires the use of a spectrometer, polariscope and a
dichroscope to identify colored gems. I live in the San Francisco
Bay area (near Santa Cruz) and desperately need to locate someone who
can allow me access to their equipment. Having been an immunochemist
previously, I have operated laboratory instrumentation (including a
polariscope). If any of you can help me with my dilemma I would be in
your debt.
