I’ve got a spin caster and wonder what hints you experts have on
cleaning crucibles. It seems after awhile The buildup of the lining
due to flux gets too thick and starts to plug the hole. I get a large
bur and start grinding at it and try to get inside to clear it out
with the bur also but it’s very awkward. The crucibles are fairly
expesive and I’d just as soon not spend my money on new ones. NET
I have had the same problem… I just turned up the torch for a
while a one inch bud head torch… … red hot on a platinum crucible
and it would run out like very thick molasses… hope someone has a
better solution. Jim C
