Can anyone suggest a good source for finding how to throughly, clean
Goss acetylene torch tips? I have found info on cleaning by scraping
on U tube butI am asking about filters or total maintenance. Thanks,

Here’s a couple tricks for cleaning your acetylene torch tips. One,
soak torch tips in denatured alcholol overnight, 2:, use an air
compressor to blow out all the soot, or 3:, soak and clean your tips
in an ultrasonic cleaner. I use my ultrasonic cleaner to get my
torch tips clean. You’ll be amazed at how much black soot comes out
and you’ll have to change the ultrasonic solution once or twice.
Hope that helps. I find the big tips are really prone to soot
buildup.
