This sounds very similar to a magnetic clasp that was featured in one
of those front-end columns in LJ – maybe a couple of years ago. The
mechanism (of course) was different, but the look sounds the same. It
too was from a German company, which I contacted, but I’ve lost the
name. You had to order the claps directly from them, at least at the
time.
I wonder if it could be the same company. Maybe someone who has
access to their LJ “library” (I don’t) could thumb through it…
