Just to throw in my two cents worth regarding mold chilling, I have
my wax pot on a stainless counter top I salvaged from a hospital.
When I am shooting multiple waxes from the same mold I set an ice
pack on the counter with a cake cooling rack on top. In between wax
shots I set the mold on the rack to keep it cool. Eventually the
counter top becomes cool enough and I don’t even need the rack. The
whole set up was inspired by Rio’s $1000 mold chiller.
