I’ve like to invite everyone to this event. I’ve heard the speaker

2:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Join us at the Harold Washington Library at 2 p.m. for a lecture and
conversation with Kathy Kamal, Professor of Metal and Jewelry Design
at College of DuPage, in review of the 2012 Metalsmith Magazine
Exhibition in Print.

Traditionally, the Exhibition in Print is a juried or curated
exhibition of current movements, themes, and niches within the
international field Metalsmithing and Jewelry design. This year the
Exhibition in Print will explore all aspects of contemporary gothic
jewelry from medieval imagery to ideas about decadence, memory, and
fear.

In this lecture, Kathy will review the choices of EiP curator
Valerie Steele and lead discussions about the themes within gothic
jewelry as well as the aesthetic, technical, and conceptual choices
of the featured artists.

Harold Washington Library is at 400 S. State Street, Chicago.

Space is limited! This event is open to the public.

Please RSVP so we have an idea of how many to expect, thank you!
