Chicago Pneumatic Air Scribe

A question about the Chicago Pneumatic Air Scribe mentioned a couple
of days ago… Can this be used to peen a fairly thick head on10
ga. wire? I use a 2 oz. ball peen hammer now but wouldn’t mind
something a little quicker/more efficient. It looks to me to be too
light-weight for this application but they mention this application
in the write-ups I read on one tool-dealer’s web site. If it can
handle it, would it be harder on the hand and wrist than a
light-weight hammer?

Just a reminder-- if you have a tool, etc, that is difficult or
awkward to grip during use, you can often make a custom grip using
one of the thermoset plastics such as Jett Sett (usual disclaimer).

It could (if you wanted it to) make mush out of the head or the
wire, but is very easy on the hands. It’s used like a pencil. Ken
