I’m looking for an intensive workshop or workshops in the first
quarter of 2006 on cold connections and soldering, including rivets,
clasps. Am willing to travel, but Chicago area would be preferable.

Not sure about the soldering, but Revere Academy in San Francisco is
holding a workshop by Julia Turner on April 8-9 on “Rivets and
Screws” (I just signed up for this myself). It looks excellent!
Check out their on-line catalog to see if any of their other classes
will work for you.
