I’m happy to say that I have joined an organization called Team in
Training. It is the largest athletic training organization of its
kind in the United States. Athletes from all over the country train
for (and compete in) marathons, triathlons, and century (100 mile)
bike races, all while raising money for Leukemia and Lymphoma
research.
My first marathon (heaven help me) is at the end of May in
Burlington, Vermont. From now until then, 20 percent of what I
collect from the retail sale of my jewelry will go to this cause.

I am very happy to say that the kick-off meeting is next Sunday. I
will have a chance to meet my honoree (someone who is dealing with
illness) and greet some of those I am actively trying to help. Some
of the honorees actually compete as well! I am blown away by the
strength of some people.
This is my chance to combine 2 things I love (running and making
jewelry) into one solid, worthwhile effort
