Centrifuge vs. Vacuum

Love my good old Neycraft centrifuge. It always gives me good
casts...

I love mine too. I bought it about 25 years ago and have used t
thousands of times, it’s like an old and trusted friend. Along the
way I bought a Degussa Motorcast motorized centrifugal casting
machine, primarily to cast platinum, but there is something about
using the spring loaded machine that I prefer. It’s like using a
wind-up watch instead of wearing one with a battery operated quartz
movement. It somehow makes me feel closer to the making of it when I
use the old Neycraft with the spring.

I’m sorry you’re unable to wind it, that must be frustrating. I have
a friend who bought an ice cream store, only to later develop a
problem with her shoulders that made her unable to lift the heavy
tubs of ice cream into the display coolers, she was not happy. At
least you have found a way really good way to work around your
problem. That’s all any of us can do, if we can’t move the problem
then go around it.

Good luck!
