I was tracking a Dentsply centrifugal casting unit on e-Bay that has
a built in electric resistance heated crucible. I started searching
the web for such units, but with no luck.
My copy of “Centrifugal or Lost Wax Jewelry Casting” by Murray
Bovin, 16th printing 1998, describes such a system on page 78 called
Thermotrol, and says the quality of the castings obtained from this
machine is excellent.
So I looked on the web, but there is no Thermotrol. If this type of
unit is so good, why are they not in the catalogs? Are they extinct?
