Can tarnished argentium be cleaned in a ionic cleaner

Some of my sterling silver jewelry has been on display in a store
and I found it has tarnished. Part of it was done in regular
sterling silver, partin Argentium silver. I was a bit surprised to
find that both seemed to have tarnished equally. The Argentium had
been heat treated (213 F for 1 hour).

Now I am wondering if I should invest in an ionic cleaner to remove
the tarnish. Does this have any negative effect on the regular or
the Argentium silver? Will the jewelry tarnish faster than before
after having been cleanedin an ionic cleaner?

Do ionic cleaners work well overall?

Thanks,
Brigit
