Can ferric chloride and pnp blue be used on lead-free pewter?

I’m trying to design some charms that may require personalization
and would like to use the PNP Blue transfer etching process using
ferric chloride as the etchant. Does anyone know if the ferric
chloride will work on lead-free pewter?
