Call for Proposals:

Intersection
2005 SNAG Conference
Cleveland, OH, June 22-26, 2005

The Cleveland conference, Intersection will address how our field
intersects with other areas of practice such as the fine arts,
industry, fashion, performance, and science (to name a few) as well
as the broader topic of the intersection of cultures. We are looking
for proposals that speak to this idea from a historical and/or a
contemporary perspective. To submit a proposal, please send a
statement describing the content of the your presentation and its
relationship to the subject of the conference, a resume, and any
support materials.

If you have seen a presentation by a particularly engaging speaker,
contact us and tell us about their presentation and why you think
they should be considered for the Cleveland conference. Please
contact: Kathleen Browne, School of Art, Kent State University, Kent
OH 44242, kbrowne@kent.edu, (330) 672-2910 or Matthew Hollern,
Jewelry and Metals Department, Cleveland Institute of Art, 11141 East
Blvd., Cleveland OH 44106, mhollern@gate.cia.edu, (216) 421-7470

You might want to consider Arlene Fisch as her work intersects with
the Fiber Community. She is a key note speaker this summer at the
Convergence Conference of Spinners and Weavers with over 2000
members…
