[Call for Projects] The Art of Jewelry: Fabric

The Art of Jewelry: Fabric
Editor: Marthe Le Van

Lark Books seeks projects to feature in an upcoming how-to
publication, “The Art of Jewelry: Fabric,” scheduled for release in
spring 2009. All jewelry forms, such as rings, bracelets, earrings,
brooches, necklaces, and others, will be considered. Diverse design
styles and techniques, including stitching, wrapping, collage, and
simple felting techniques are desired. Materials can include
commercial fabric, recycled and vintage fabrics, felt, ribbon, mesh,
and others. Please do not send crocheted or knitted jewelry, unless
those techniques are used as embellishments and fabric comprises most
of the piece.

Artists whose projects are selected for inclusion will receive
compensation, full acknowledgment within the book, a complimentary
copy, and discounts on the purchase of books.

Project proposals are due by February 8, 2008.
