Call for Entry THE VALUE OF METAL: An exhibition co-hosted by MAGC
and the Ontario Crafts Council

The OCC is collaborating with the Metal Arts Guild of Canada to host
The Value of Metal, an exhibition at The Guild Shop that will run
from 15 September - 16 October 2011.
“While some metals are precious in themselves, their value can be
even further transformed by the hand of the maker. THE VALUE OF METAL
showcases hand-made jewellery, and the creativity of working with
material into one-of-a-kind objects. Presented in partnership by The
Guild Shop and the Metal Arts Guild of Canada, this exhibition leads
the way in contemporary jewellery design.”
Take advantage of this opportunity to present your work: up to 10
artists will be chosen to participate in the exhibition AND have the
chance to join The Guild Shop’s group of metal artists! Work
submitted must be creative, innovative, and oriented toward the
retail market.
Submissions will be reviewed by Guild Shop Manager Rob Ridgeway, and
MAGC Past President Sarah Hamel, owner of MADE YOU LOOK, Toronto’s
hub for contemporary, innovative, unique, creative, one-of-a-kind,
local, handcrafted jewellery.
Successful applicants will be notified by the first week of August
2011.
