Simplification is the key. Bust up the monolithic number into its’
constituent parts.
115g = 100g + 10g + 5g
One tenth of 100 = 10
One tenth of 10 = 1
One tenth of 5 = 0.5
10 + 1 + 0.5 = 11.5
On the calculator, punch in 115.0 x 0.1 0.1 is the geeky way of saying
one tenth.
