Hello Orchid,
We are having quite a nice holiday here on the island of Bali and
are thinking of checking out some pearl farms on Lombok island. So,
does anyone here have experience with buying pearls in Indonesia?
Mostly in our business we deal with chinese freshwater pearls, which
despite their reputation for low quality can actually be quite nice
if carefully chosen, and have the bonus of being very inexpensive
with a nice profit margin. But, since we’re here anyway we were
thinking of possibly buying some of the locally produced saltwater
pearls. If anyone has good regarding the pearl trade here
please let us know.
