Hex or Allen wrenches also can be used to burnish precious metal. Just use a separating disc to cut the short side off below the bend so you have a straight rod to use in the flex shaft. Cheap and available in a wide range of diameters. Those various diameters will allow you to get into tight spaces, as well as, giving a more forceful strike with the larger diameters.

That’s a great idea. I think that I would want to grind, sand and polish the end so that the sharp points don’t dig into the metal being burnished. I have a lot of duplicate allen wrenches and will give this a try. Thanks…Rob
