With all of the tarnish resistant sterlings (and their drawbacks) I have been wondering about switching to brittania, 960 parts silver, 40 parts copper. It will not firescale and should be a brighter white than regular sterling as the tarnish resistant alloys are, however it should work almost exactly the same.
I suppose What I am asking is, are there any major drawbacks to brittania that make sterling preferable or is there a tarnish resistant sterling I might like?
