Breaking a labrodorite

Hi,

I dropped a (really nice) big labradorite/spectrolite on the floor
today, breaking it. Forty percent of the stone is still in one piece
and I would love to save it, but I have no lapidary equipment and no
lapidary skills. Can I make the stone into a cabochon freeform again?

Best regards,
Leach

picture would help. work a design that either plays off what’s
missing or mirrors/enhances what you have to work with.

Sure you can! But if you don’t have the wheels, etc. I will be glad
to smooth it up for you, no charge. It’s the least I can do in return
for all the wonderful and helpful I have and will
continue to glean from this forum.

Hi John, This is really very nice of you, but I live in Ireland and
it’s just not worth all the postage etc. I tried to send you a
personal message, but for some reason this does not work.

Thank you again, I appreciate.
Best, Leach
