G’day; Boric acid and boracic acid are exactly the same
chemical; both are soluble in water and in alcohol- meths- and
isopropyl alcohol - rubbing alcohol. Boron compounds give a
green flame when mixed in spirit and ignited, and this used to be
the main analytical test for boron compounds at one time. Cheers,
