The 7th Annual Big Sur JadeFestival will be held Oct 9,10,11 at
the Pacific Valley School located on Scenic Highway 1 in Big Sur
CA. The School is about 35 miles north of San Simeon (Hearst
Castle) 55 miles South of Monterey. Jade Cove (source of much of
the jade) is only 1/4 mile away, so you can try your hand at
finding some jade.
This is one of the best ways to see and buy jade, as most of
those who are jade pickers will be there with their entire stash.
A huge collection of Big Sur Jade from rings to boulders will be
offered for sale or trade. Having attended the past 6 Jade
Festivals as a vendor, I can attest to the varied forms and wide
selection.
Anyone interested in a booth can e-mail me and I will send an
application as an attachment to e-mail. The fee is $100 for the
3 day event.
