Bi-Metal Solder?

I am going to make a couple of rings from the 1/8 22k - 7/8 sterling
silver bi-metal from Reactive Metals. I need guidance on what
solder would be most appropriate for joining the band. The sales
person advised medium or easy solder, but did not know what
color/karat solder should be used.

Anyone with experience with this metal combination? Thanks.

Dear John,

They are probably refering to silver solder. Please be careful when
soldering; it is really easy to melt the gold into the silver. I’ve
done it and it happens very quickly. If you go with gold solder
find one that has a melt temperature lower than medium silver
solder.
