A great way to polish bezzels without damaging soft stones is to make
a special flat graver. Take a heavy flat graver and silver solder a
sheet of 18kt yellow gold to the side of it and polish it down so that
when you run the engraver around the stone the gold edge rides on the
stone. This is a Blain Lewis trick and I believe he describes it in
the video.
