Batterns Flux vs. Rio's Green Flux

I’m hoping someone can tell me if the green flux Rio sells is
comparable to Batterns flux (also greenish colored). I couldn’t find
Batterns, which is what I’ve been using, in the Rio catalog, and I
was hoping to order my flux from them since I’m about ready to place
a supply order anyway…save on shipping and all that.

Yes Leah, I belive they are the same, I have never been disapointed
in the Rio brand, 8 people using it everyday, just use plenty of it

Hello Leah,

Yes the Rio My-T- Flux is equivalent to Batterns, both are a self
pickling flux. Sorry I don’t know the chemical composition of either
but I could tell no difference when using both side by side.

Thanks everyone who replied to my question. It sounds like the
consensus is that the Rio flux should work the same as Batterns.

Stuller carries the batterns flux, but I also feel the same that the
Rio flux works as well.
