you can do anything if you have a go.

Just try it!!.

Try and be more precise. Do you mean pure nickel? Id be very
surprised if youve got you hands on some.

Nickle brass rivets can be bought from model engineers suppliers.

Metals that your torch will melt can be balled up, but to prevent
oxidation you need to flux the wire end. Try it and report back how
you got on.

We need an imput from you as to progress your making. It has to be a
2 way dialogue.

You can make anything in any metal- the things to consider are the
appropriate solders, pickles, melt and flow points and patina
solutions ( some aluminium alloys may get ruined by acid solutions).I
suggest getting a copy of “the Complete Metalsmith”, by Tim
McCreight- any edition ,most libraries have it or if you are a visual
learner You Tube has many videos on a multitude of topics. Also check
out a catalogue or online site not oriented towards jewellery making
like Micro-Mark.com: in it you will find tools, supplies and
equipment for working base metals, patina solutions, shaped and sheet
base metals, a myriad of hardware supplies for base metals, and other
items that could be applied to jewellery making, like simple pen
plating, patinas in a bottle, miniature power tools for metal, and
some that can be used for lapidary and other l and
inspirational items that will help you gain an understanding of
metalworking though not the same old, same old all the jewellery
making vendors in the US sell. they even sell Complete Metalsmith!
(there aren’t gems on that site though)…Point is looking at some
alternative perspectives will help you gain an understanding of the
things out there to assist you in working metal of any kind into
anything you can dream up safely. rer
