[Australian Source] Hydraulic Press Rubber

Hello,

I am wandering if any of the down under jewellers can help me to
locate an Australian supplier of rubber for my hydraulic press?

Greetings Pierre,

I got my urethane blocks from APECS in Melbourne. Their web address
is: http://www.apecs.com.au

Hi Pierre,

I am wandering if any of the down under jewellers can help me to
locate an Australian supplier of rubber for my hydraulic press?

If I were you, I’d try to locate a supplier that sells items used in
machine shops & mechanical industries. These types of places usually
have rubber & urethane in sheets of different thickness & rods of
different diameters.

Regarding rubber for the hydrolic press in Australia- in Art School
we used old rubber reclaimed from tires for dieforming in the press.
It worked well cut to the size of the die, overlapping the sides a
few inches to allow for the press pushing the pieces into the form.
Stack them as high as you want the piece to be deep.

Hope this helps a little-
