Aurum

Hi folks:

Does anybody has the website address for the Journal/Magazine
"Aurum"?. Can you please forward it to me?. Thanks.

Also are there any magazines other than AJM and Aurum which deals
with casting and investment?. Thanks.

Kayce-

There’s a very professional and informative publication entitled
’Goldschmiede Zeitung’. Published by Ruehle Diebener Verlag, located
in Stuttgart. They also have occasionally English inserts. I’ve come
across several detailed articles on casting over the years.

The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths is an invaluable resource for
research literature. They have a huge library at their disposal and
I’d suggest you contact the curator/librarian for articles. Their
quarterly publication is ‘Goldsmith’s Review’ and their Technical
Advisory Committee offers a large number of technical reports for
sale at a nominal fee. Their address is:

The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths
Goldsmiths’ Hall
Foster Lane London, EC2V 6BN

Good luck. Kim Eric Lilot

Kayce, you might check out some sculpture magazines, I know I saw some
at school last year. Bronze casting also uses casting investment
although I know the formula is different than for gold and silver.

Thanks Peter,

There is a big collection of back volumes at TBG. But I couldn’t see
any more recent issue after sometime. That’s why I was wondering is
it possible to subscribe to the journal again. But it is strange that
either a. The World Gold Council or b. The Institute of materials
which publishes c. Interdisciplinary Science Reviews (publishes
articles on gold-sometimes the entire volume is devoted to gold)
doesn’t seem to have any sites/home/web pages.

How do I find TBG in order to review the back issues of Arrum?.

Thanks.

If I remember correctly, Aurum was only published for a few years in
the 1980s and is no longer published. I don’t know if any libraries
in the U.S. have the published copies. Judy Bjorkman

I have many copies of Aurum. I subscribed when it was first published
and probably have 4 or 5 years of copies stored away. If any one needs
a particular article I would be happy to see if I have it and scan it
and email it.
