Beautiful piece! Very nice design overall, incorporating the Asarco chunk nicely. I’m interested in precisely where you acquired it. I lived on Vashon Island for 15 years long ago, so I’m very familiar with the Asarco legacy. I’m now in the Seattle area, 45 minutes away. Did you find it at the Asarco site? Would love to acquire a piece, as I am currently making jewelry pieces incorporating castings that I make. The surface texture of your piece is very intriguing. It could make an amazing cast centerpiece as a pendant, possibly overlaid with an additional casting of one of the tiny salt-water snail shells or crabs that are ubiquitous in Puget Sound.
