Art Bead Circle...?

Does anyone know anything about a magazine called Art Bead Circle
(ABC), and an event at the Tucson Expo Center in February? They’ve
invited me to teach, but it seems a bit odd. Instructors get a space
and some tables and chairs for their classes, then pay to advertise
for students them in the mag.

I’d like to go to Tucson in February, but will not do it just on the
strength of the info in the email or on the web site, so if anyone
knows anything, I’d appreciate the input.

I received that too, and thought it pretty fishy. I have never seen
the magazine, and you pay only $25 per table? I have been so busy, I
have ignored it. Has anyone contacted them or the Expo?

I’ve never been approached to teach anywhere where I pay them
anything… they pay me. Not to say it couldn’t work, but given the
expense of going to and staying in Tucson, I have my doubts.

Yeah, I guess it is junk. Too bad-- I’m always on the lookout for
teaching opportunities, and I’d love to have a “gig” at the gem show
so I could justify going.
