Argentium & standard sterling together

I’ve delved into Argentium sterling silver but, still have a lot of
standard sterling in inventory. I was thinking of using/soldering
standard sterling in places that I want to patina. And applying a
mask on the argentium parts before applying liver of sulfur or other
patina. Any thought or problems that anyone sees with soldering the 2
together to do this?

Thanks,
Regis

There is no problem with using SS with AS. I think your plan makes a
lot of sense. Just remember to avoid using Hard solder, if
possible—pretty close to the melting temperature of AS.

Cynthia,

There may be a problem if Regis wants to use the Argentium stamp.
That would indicate that the entire piece is Argentium - a potential
issue.
