Please check the website for the Metal Art Society of Southern California. They just had a virtual tour of downtown LA suppliers and vendors. MASSCONLINE.COM
It’s very possible they can guide you to the resources you are looking for.
The Metal Arts Society of Southern California (MASSC) used to do an annual Downtown Tour which was one of the highlights of the year. Unfortunately, due to Covid, it was suspended in 2020. While it has come back in virtual form, it is not the same format as previously and has branched out past the LA area.
However, I believe that even as a non-member you can access the newsletter on the website listed on the previous post. There are listings of the participating vendors in the May/June 2018 and 2019 issues of the newsletter. Some of them may have moved/closed, but there are many long-time entities in the district that are probably still operating, so you might want to start there.
While I am in the LA area, I rarely went downtown so I can’t point you to any particular vendors, but the lists are pretty good as to who and what is available.
