Antique jewelry repair rec in Tampa area

Hi Jewelry friends!

Writing for the first time as a member. Happy to have this resource!

Working in Girona, Spain and Seattle, WA.

A friend has a plat. or white gold antique deco ring they need to size down. Diamonds and sapphire.

Does anyone have a recommendation of a skilled repair smith working with antique pieces? They purchased the ring in Antwerp, so don’t have access to the shop.

Hi Jana, welcome to the community! That’s a beautiful ring. Wish I could help, but I’m in New Zealand. Hope you find someone in your area. The owner should have it valuated to see if it’s platinum or white gold. I did this with an art deco ring of my grandmother’s and it turned out to be platinum. If she has it expertly (i.e. reputably) valuated, they might be able to direct you further.
