American Facetor Parts

Hello,

After leaving My American Facetor on a shelf for at least 20+ years, a
request from a customer to repair a ring that she has had handed down
from her GGrandmother. The metal is doable, but the stone has a
different style of facets and I was thinking of just doing a little
polishing rather than recut the stone. The problem is the Belts on
the American Facetor have metamorphed into items that fail to function
as designed. Anyone out there know of a source for American Facetor
parts???

Any help greatly appreciated.

American Facetor has gone out of business; I don’t know if anyone
picked up their design or spare parts. However all is not lost.
Generally the belts used on most low volume machines are stock
commercial items. Depending on where you live, you may be able to
find belts at an industrial supply or place that specializes in power
transmission components &/or bearings. The 1st place I’d look would
be your Yellow pages. If you can’t locate a local source, try: MSC
at mscdirect.com.

A while back, I asked the list about Parts for my old American
Facetor, I received many ideas on substitute ways to work around some
of the problems and sources of some standard items like belts etc. I
also found a complete source of American Facetor Parts, and now that
I have been contacted by others off list and have noticed some
requests on list for these parts, I would like to offer this source
once more for all of you that need American Facetor Parts ( I have no
connection with this business) Try emailing: AGEO12@aol.com His name
is Tony, his prices are real fair.
