Alternative to Rio Grande

Just saw the catalogue from Stuller, it is as big as Rio’s for
findings and they have several other catalogues for special items,
such a Religious items. I did not see the tool catalogue but there
are several sources such as, Frie & Borrel and Guesswine. The toll
free phone is 800-877-7777 and the web site is <www.stuller.com>. You
have to set up an account with them which is a little bit more
trouble than Rio.

Stuller also has a complete Tool catalogue encompassing a couple of
hundred pages of just about anything that one could need in the tool
category.

John: Stuller does have a tools catalog and so does Swest. I heard
that Stuller bought Swest…not sure…maybe someone else can
elaborate on this.

Stuller has great service and products. I shop around and use
different suppliers depending on cost. I have used Stuller quite a
bit for chains and findings…always excellent quality,
fast shipment and great packaging. A Rio Grande representative said
they will no longer be using Fed Ex to ship. I prefer Fed Ex for
reliability in the area I live. So it will be a minor inconvenience. I
will still purchase from Rio Grande if their price is competitive.
I believe they will work out the kinks and give great service as they
have in the past.
