Again, POS program

Does anyone have any suggestion about choosing a POS program.
Looking for input from someone who is in the $500,000 sales range,
or anyone who has looked deeply into these programs?

Todd I to am investigating POS Systems. This is what I am finding.
Shopkeeper. They are still Dos. I demoed there version but it was to
foreign to me. They have a windows version coming out so they say.
Clarity - I did not like the program at all and was more expensive
than some of the others out there. Incom Solutions. The most
affortable system I checked out. Has some great possiblities but they
are new to the game. Win Jewel. I did like this prgram but as time
goes on I am hearing more and more negatives from previous users.
Ibis. - I believe that this may of been a good system at one time
with very poor tech. support. They have had a split in the companies
with the principals. This sends out negative signals. The Executive. I
thought this was the best system I looked at but I thought it was
overpriced. It is worth having a look at it. The Edge- I am leaning
towards this system . It is affortable and the principal Dick Abbott
does seem to know what he is talking about. I hope this helps. I also
would be interested to hear from other users of these or any other
POS systems out there. Jerome

I have winjewel, I have had incredible support from the company. I

had computer problems (crashed two times), viruses corrupted my
computer, and they were very patient for the months it took for me
to get squared away. I find it has flaws, all of them do. I use it
for inventory and POS, it seems to do all that I need. I had it at
two stores, my little independent store, and I had a mall store that
was more demanding and it worked fine in that situation. The price
is a major benefit. I have two computers networked, enter inventory
in the back, POS in the front, and after the initial problems that
had nothing to do with winjewel, for the last 5 months I have no
complaints. Any questions, contact me off line. Richard in Denver
