Adhesive information

I am looking for an adhesive that will bond foil backed stones to
nickel plating. I have had difficulty with the mirrored backing
getting eaten away by the adhesives I have tried. I need an adhesive
that is not going to lose its bond over time and dries clear.

Hi Robert; Have you tried silicon? I understand that the 100% silicon
adhesive, which is like a gummy clear gel sold in tubes is able to
stick to a large variety of surfaces and lasts for a very long time.
It hardens like a stiff rubber. The glass blowers I knew used to use
it to construct with, but they insisted on the pure silicon.
