Accidental Filing-Close Encounters of the Painful Kind

Greetings Ladies- I lost the post, but here is a tip for the
problems associated with stabbing yourself with gravers, files,
and other tattoo instruments. You could try and get a leather
riding glove for the opposite hand from your dexterity. They
have them at the feed store, etc. Then, you cut the fingers off
with a pair of snips about 3/4 down the fingers so that you will
still have your grip. It won’t eliminate this problem, but it
will minimize the exposure and maybe slow an errant tool down
some, and maybe prevent a cut . A person using a lot of force
behind the tool may need a welding glove cut this way, say a
setter, etc. Got to have those finger tips to turn the block, you
see? Or maybe if your experienced at leatherwork, saddle leather
and velco works nicely! I know- this is the SISSY way, right? I
use another pair at the buffer- leave off the cutting of the
fingers. Regards-

I use a sailors glove, you can find them in any marine store,
fingers our out, leather palms and velcro at wrist for comfort.
From an old rag bagger. Saved many a burn from sheets or
halyards.
