Hi All,
I know this may sound silly, but this is my first orchid dinner. I
usually only bring jeans and t-shirts to Tucson, so I was wondering
about the dress code for the dinner? Casual, dressy…?
Thanks,
Amanda Carroll

amanda -
fortunately the dinner is not ‘clothing optional’. however the
choices are. you will see everything from tee shirts & jeans to
black lace. if you’ve got a 2 piece outfit that you can wear the top
with jeans & the bottom with tee shirts for the rest of the trip,
that’s a solution for the dinner; if not don’t sweat it. getting to
meet hanuman & ton is worth attending wearing a hospital ‘johnny’
(gown).
ive
who is on the way to tucson even as you read this.

I think it’s wonderful several people have asked about what to wear.
Tucson is so casual, you don’t have to worry too much – the Savoy is
located in one of our Western theme town areas, so you can wear jeans
and boots and fit in! Since I live way out in the boonies and work
alone, I LIKE to dress up a bit once in a blue moon. But as a local
yokel who gets tired of TOO much casual dress in public (like
recently celebrating our 20th anniversary at the AZ Inn and we’re
dressed to the 9’s, in comes a slob in shorts and flipflops when the
sign says Coat and Ties Required), I do appreciate all you folks
asking!!
I’ll be there with my fancy Paul Bond dress cowboy boots - burgundy
with turquoise butterflies – oooh la la! Haven’t decided about the
dress – for me, the jewelry and the boots come first.
Hey Roseann,
I wonder how many people know what a pair of Paul Bond Boots amount
to!!! I am from Nogales, Az., originally, am totally familiar with
that name.
I have dreamed for years of getting a pair custom made there as did
one of my sisters a long time ago.
Folks, many famous people, especially of the cowboy type, have done
just that!! If you ever want a PERFECT pair of boots, that is THE
place to go and get them!
Any one desiring such, can just ask me for the info or directions to
them! I never need an excuse to go down.
Have an AWESOME show ! And dress to the hilt if you like! No
matter how you dress, come with your best attitude, and we will all
have a ball!
SOOOOOO looking forward to it. Mb.
