Want to learn to make jewelry but need to learn the basics? Then this class is for YOU!


Dates: Saturday January 5, 12, 19, 26, 2019 (4 Saturdays)
Time: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Description: In this four-week course students will acquire a working knowledge of basic metalworking techniques, such as sawing, soldering, piercing, sanding, forming, texturing and finishing. Students will be familiarized with basic studio tools for working with fine metals, and will be encouraged to explore their creativity while applying new skills to a unique, wearable art form. Shop setup and shop safety will be ongoing topics. Students will have the opportunity to design and make several projects of their choice.

Cost: $360 for members, $380 for non-members

Materials Fee:(payable to instructor at start of class): $45, includes metal: 20 gauge copper, 20 gauge brass; silver solder (easy, medium, and hard); sandpaper: 320/400/600 grit, and saw blades in a variety of sizes
