I'm a self-taught metalsmith specializing in one-of-a-kind pieces, primarily jewelry and sacred objects incorporating imagery from ancient cultures, nature and mythology. I've run my own one-woman shop for thirty years, selling through selected galleries and by commission. I love unusual semiprecious gems and found natural objects, and fabricate my pieces in silver and gold. Most recently, I've been working on a series of small sculptural pieces called Shapechangers representing the shamanic heritage of many cultures, and have been learning to do small-scale forming and repousse to give these pieces more dimension. I'm also teaching myself to carve bone and fossil ivory masks and faces for my Shapechangers using jewelry gravers. I tend to be pretty isolated from others in my craft and am looking forward to being a part of this community.
