I have been working as a goldsmith since I was eighteen primarly doing custom work I specialize in wax carving and casting I cast gold as well as platinum I also have a background in the machining industry and have a whole machine shop at my house so I can make my own tools I do some holloware and flatware so being able to make your own stakes is real handy I also make my own tooling for a 200 ton hydralic press that I built. I recently got a guilloche machine and have been learning to do that as well if anyone else out there has one I would love to talk to you about them there is so much to learn on how to use one or if anyone has questions about them maybe I can answer them. I was a member of orchid a while ago but became to overwhelmed with email but I miss talking to other jewelers.
