I'm American, a silversmith and member of the ABDS ( Association of British Designer Silversmiths). I love surface manipulation and use etching (ferric nitrate ) and chasing to enhance and hopefully ,compliment, the forms I make. I admire the open exchange of bench tips, techniques and news on your site and am currently enthralled by the prospect of firestain free silver using Prips flux which is unheard of here as far as I know. Have recently acquired the ingredients and hope to try it out tomorrow...Have used argentium somewhat but suppply and quality too variable. Hope I will be able to use the site successfully as not too great on the computer.
